Home Economics
Home Economics is an exploratory class teaching 7th and 8th graders skills such as cooking, financing, sewing, and what it takes to make a business. It lasts one quarter.
Cooking
Learn to cook or prepare sugar cookies, coffee cake, apple crisp, one-eyed jacks, ambrosia, dutch babies, cinninmon rolls, etc.
Business
Learn how to write a resume, read emplyoment advertisements, find your career interest areas, and discover the most effective way to go to a job interview. Also learn to create your own business as an entrepreneur (make a plan, diagrams of product, a financial plan, marketing tools, a business plan, management, maps, etc.)
Financing
Learn to write checks
correctly, banking, and new vocabulary involving personal finances.
