I currently teach 8th Grade Block, which is the study of American Literature, and United States history.
In the Language Arts portion of the block we will explore literature and its elements. We will focus on grammar, spelling, and vocabulary development, and engage in a variety of writing styles and presentations styles. Students are also assigned independent reading work. In United States History we will explore changes that have taken place in the U.S. from colonization to Immigration. We will also study American geography and current world issues. Students will be researching, debating, and creating a variety of products to enrich and encourage learning.
